Hello, I'm Eve Boguski

I am a graduate student in the Master of Counselling program through the University of Calgary and I’m excited to be spending my final year of the program and practicum placement with Koru Family Psychology. Under the supervision of Drs. Caroline Buzanko and Anastasia Campbell, I look forward to providing counselling services for individuals, couples, and families.

I am fortunate to have over ten years of experience as a classroom teacher in addition to my work as a counsellor and I am passionate about supporting young people and their families. As a counsellor, I often draw on this previous experience to help children and teens build practical skills that can be transferred to the school setting.

I have particular experience working with adolescents who have been diagnosed with a learning disability, ADHD, or are struggling with anxiety and/or depression. With the right supports in place, I believe everyone has the capacity to thrive and find joy. I take a strength-based approach to counselling and enjoy the process of helping people tap into and honour their innate strengths. I likewise work collaboratively with individuals to co-develop strategies that are meaningful and personalized.

As a parent myself, I understand the importance of working with the family unit and exploring the unique role each member plays. Central to my practice is the desire to bring families together through effective communication strategies and strengthen the parent-child bond.

Outside of my work and studies, I try to spend as much time as possible with the important people in my life. I have a young son, and every day is a new adventure with him. I’m an avid reader, and when I can carve out the time, I enjoy being creative with art and words. I love to travel and can happily spend my time hunting down cheap flights and new adventures.

Take the first step towards confidence and new beginnings.

Whether you’re a parent or an individual looking for positive transformation and growth, Koru Family Psychology is here for you.
