Hello, I’m Anastasia [Ah-nes-ta-see-ah]
I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists and a member of the Canadian Psychological Association. I provide counselling services to individuals, couples, and families. My therapeutic approach is collaborative, wherein we can work together to create sustainable change in your life.
I have a strong appreciation for relationships, and I view each person as one part of a complex system. Together, with my clients, we work to identify problematic patterns of interacting with the intent to co-construct preferred ways of being in relationship with others. I often support individuals and families navigating challenges related to experiencing stress, anxiety, grief, and various relationship concerns such as communication, conflict resolution, and parenting. As a mom of three active kids myself, I am particularly interested in enhancing the parent-child and couple relationship within families. I am curious about how personal values and socio-cultural beliefs impact the family system.
I have been fortunate to be a part of the Koru Family Psychology family for almost 10 years. In line with my clinical interests, my research has explored how new parents navigate their dynamic couple relationship as they become parents together.
When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family and close friends. Together, we enjoy hiking, skiing, skating, biking, and swimming. In the summer, I frequent parks, soccer fields, and baseball diamonds. I love playing board games and making obstacle courses in my basement with my children. My happy places are exploring the mountains and relaxing on the water with my favourite people.
