Hello, I'm Jezz (she/her)
I’m a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists and a member of the Canadian Psychological Association, Psychological Association of Alberta, and the Canadian Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. I specialize in working with couples and families facing a range of challenges, from relational conflict to daily hassles, grief/loss to “big emotions.” I also enjoy working with individuals experiencing a variety of concerns, such as anxiety, depression, identity, and stress.
I believe that all roads toward growth do not lead the same path. What does yours look like? Drawing from my training in systems therapy, narrative therapy, and emotion-focused therapy, I use a collaborative and relational approach to support clients in working toward their goals. Together, we might practice new ways of responding to yourself/others, try on strategies to manage stress, or create a safe space to understanding your experiences differently. Working towards change is not always easy but you don’t have to do it alone. Whatever your road looks like and whomever you are travelling it with, we can navigate it together.
Beyond the therapy room, I enjoy teaching graduate students, facilitating groups and workshops, and engaging in my research on families’ experiences of natural disasters. My passion for relationships also stretches into my personal life, where I enjoy exploring new adventures with my friends/family, challenging my partner to a game of golf or cribbage, cooking for others, and co-creating new artwork.
Take the first step towards confidence and new beginnings.
Whether you’re a parent or an individual looking for positive transformation and growth, Koru Family Psychology is here for you.
