Hello, I'm Jaime Jaworski!
Hello! My name is Jaime, and I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists and a member of the Psychological Association of Alberta. I have the pleasure of providing psychoeducational assessments and counselling for children and adolescents under the supervision of Dr. Caroline Buzanko.
I have many years of experience supporting children with unique learning and emotional needs. I completed my internship at Koru Psychology prior to my registration and graduated with a Master of Education in School and Applied Child Psychology from the University of Calgary.
I am passionate about supporting children and families and use a collaborative and strengths-based approach. I believe that all children can do well when they have the right tools and supports for success. During the assessment process I work with children to identify their unique strengths and areas of challenge. I help parents and teachers understand why children may struggle with certain things and how to best support them at home and in the classroom. I offer counselling to help manage anxiety, emotions, stress, attention/executive function struggles, and parenting challenges. I help children to build awareness, strengthen their skills, and grow their courage, confidence, and resilience. I help parents learn how to become effective emotional coaches for their child and improve their family dynamics.
As a mom to two small children, I have a practical perspective on the parenting journey and appreciate both the joy and challenges it brings. I know it’s much easier to read things in a book than to do them in real life, and that everyone can use some help at times!
On my spare time, I love playing along with whatever scenarios my little ones imagine, spending time in the mountains, and doing crafts and messy projects that must always include glitter.
I Offer:
Take the first step towards confidence and new beginnings.
Whether you’re a parent or an individual looking for positive transformation and growth, Koru Family Psychology is here for you.
